Fun filled weekend!

John Thomas had a weekend of fun! We started off with a great breakfast at Ozzie's at the OU airport. It appears that John Thomas is a lot like his name sake grandpa, he loves airplanes. He would run up to the gate and tell us that the planes go high and would clap upon take off and landings. After breakfast we let him play in his new bounce house from Mimi and Pappi. He had a blast jumping in the beautiful weather. Last but not least, we went to the OKC Barrons hockey game. It was John Thomas' first hockey game and Daddy's second. It was a proud moment for hockey loving mama to see her boys enjoying the game that she grew up watching!

Thunder Up!

John Thomas loves sports!!! He is always playing basketball and watching games with Daddy. We have taken him to a few games this season and he really enjoys cheering on the Thunder and looking for Rumble, the team mascot. Rumble stopped by quickly to say hello and patted him on the head but was off before we could get a pic. It was precious to see John Thomas walking to the seats in Thunder gear with the noise makers the Hooters girls gave him. When we got to the seats he would jump up and down saying Thunder and Basketball!

Blizzard 2011

A few weeks ago we experienced an amazing blizzard in Oklahoma. In Norman we got over a foot of snow that lead to major snow drifts. It shut down the city for almost 3 days. During this time John Thomas was scheduled to get tubes in his ears... We ended up taking him to get his tubes on the third day of the weather event at 6 am. Despite the slow drive just a few miles away and the blistering cold air, John Thomas did great in surgery and is feeling much better! It is amazing how the tubes have helped him. Here are a few pics of the snow and post recovery as we waited in the house for the roads to get better. This is a pic of our back yard. It had at least 3-4 foot drifts.

Every year around this time we gather up the calves and take them to the city. This year Daddy and Papa had a little helper. He loves ridding in the truck and hollering "hooooo" for the calves to come closer. He is quite the little rancher.

Merry Christmas!

This year we were blessed to celebrate the birth of baby Jesus in our new home with the McPhersons and then went to STL for some more fun. John Thomas was a lot of fun this year as he really enjoyed visiting with family and all of the other joys of Christmas. We put the tree up this year as John Thomas took a nap, when he awoke and saw the tree he looked up and said, "Wooooow!" I knew from that moment on that we were going to cherish this special time of the year.

Welcome to the World Ryder and Rowan!

This past week we welcomed our nephew, Ryder and niece, Rowan in to the world! They were a little earlier than expected but are growing bigger and stronger everyday. Shandy and Kelly are amazing parents. Hopefully we will get to hold the newest blessings soon.

Big 12 Championship Game! Boomer Sooner!

Daddy received an early Christmas present when we found out that the Sooners would play in the Big 12 Championship Game against the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

We could not miss the big game, so off to Dallas we went!

Nanny and Papa met us there to help cheer the Sooners to Victory.

John Thomas loved the Cowboys Stadium, aka Jerry's World.

It was a great match up. Daddy was a little nervous.
