We are home

John Thomas is now home! We left the hospital yesterday after the second largest snow storm in state history for some parts of the state. Luckily OKC only got 1 inch and the roads were not too bad. We were interested to see how the dogs would react to the new addition. So far they have both been great after a lot of sniffing and looking over their little brother. Last night we all did well for the most part. John Thomas only had a few moments of fussiness and we were able to rest a few hours at a time.

Labor Day

The day has arrived! We are at the hospital and I am progressing well. This morning I went to the doctor for a check up and my blood pressure was high for the first time during my pregnancy so she wanted to induce. So far I feel good. Contractions are manageable but not fun at this point. As I write this I am 40% of the way through the labor process. Hopefully he will be here soon. God is good!

Still waiting on Little Mac's arrival.....

As of today I am full term, 38 weeks! We are so ready to meet our son. The car has been packed for two weeks and have had one false alarm. I have been having a lot of contractions, however they seem to go away just when we think that the time has come to get in to the car..... My belly feels as if it is stretched to the max and my back is about to give up. Even with all of the aches and pains, as I look back I can not believe what a great pregnancy god has blessed me with!

Little Mac's Farm Bureau Shower

This past Friday was Little Mac's Oklahoma Farm Bureau Shower. We had a great time! My coworkers did a great job of incorporating our nursery theme. The cake matched Little Mac's crib bedding, with a personalized cowboy hat to top it off. So cute! We are now officially ready for Little Mac to arrive. As of today I have 21 days to go until my April 6th due date. Hopefully the doctor's prediction that he will be here in a week or so is more accurate :)

Little Mac should be here in two weeks!

We went to the doctor today and were surprised to hear that Little Mac should be here in two weeks based on my exam! If he is not here on his own by the 23rd I can induce, however I am going to try my best to let nature take its course. Our prayer is for a good labor and delivery with a healthy son to hold in our arms.

Cody's Bracelet

35 more days to go! As I reflect back on the last 9 months I can not help but think about how blessed we are and have been. There are days that I find myself in disbelief that we are actually going to be parents! Our dream is about to become a reality. Everyday we are reminded of the long road it has been to get us to this point by Cody's gray bracelet that he got at our fertility doctor's office during our IVF class (which turned out we did not need). The bracelet says "Have faith, Never loose hope." He has not taken it off since the class and promised to wear it until our little blessing arrives. Here is a pic of the bracelet that we took when I was 30 weeks along. As we have said before, God is so Good!!
