3 weeks old

Last night I had to take a pic of John Thomas spending some quality time with his daddy. So sweet. Cody is a wonderful dad! He helps a lot with diapers, burping and cuddling :)

John Thomas had a great first Easter! We celebrated this year at Cody's aunts. It was fun to introduce John Thomas to more of his cousins and to see everyone. The weather was rainy and chilly but the moisture was welcomed after the state experienced devastating wildfires this past week. As you can see the Easter Bunny had no problems finding John Thomas! He must have known that he had to go to sleep on Easter eve for the bunny to come because that was one of his best nights so far :)

First OU sporting event

Today John Thomas went to his first OU sporting event! We watched the sooner baseball team bring in a victory against Texas Tech (Sorry Adam Walker...). As we were pulling up to the game John Thomas got his first OU souvenir, a big 12 baseball hit out of the ballpark was setting next to where we parked. What a great time! It was a relaxing day compared to the night we had. John Thomas cried for 4 hours last night. Finally at 1 am he gave up and went to sleep. We think he had his day and night mixed up and is going through a growth spurt. He wanted to eat every two hours. I still say we are lucky to have only one bad night so far in his 2 and a half weeks of existence.

2 Weeks Old Today

It is hard to believe that just two weeks ago we were at the hospital welcoming our little angel in to the world. Cody and I have are having a great time learning the trials and tribulations of being new parents!

Went to the doctor today for weight check

We went to the doctor today to check John Thomas' weight. He weighed in at 7 lbs 12 oz! A gain of 3 oz from his birth weight in a week. We knew he was eating well, but not that well :) He is still sleeping good at night for the most part. We get anywhere from 3-5 hours of sleep at a time. Everyday he seems to look a little different. It is amazing to see how much he changes from day to day. He is such a blessing!!

Week old today

I can not believe that John Thomas is a week old today! He is such a good baby. So far he sleeps anywhere from 2-4 hour intervals at night and naps frequently during the day. We really enjoy the sweet faces he makes when he is awake or waking up. We go back and forth on who he looks like more, his mom or dad. Today he took a lunch trip to Mahaffey & Gore to have lunch with his daddy. He is such a blessing

First Bath

Today John Thomas got his first bath! He did great. Of course he squirted us with in the first few moments. He did not like being naked and messed with however when it was all over he was a happy boy :)
